Fleetwood Mac

The Fleetwood Mac camp was incredibly generous to allow Jason entrance into the rehearsal for the Unleashed Tour that began in Pittsburgh, PA. He brought 6 guitars down to show Neale Heywood, guitarist for Fleetwood Mac. Neale already had two Schroeders in his possession. Neale and all of the guitar techs for the band, including Roy Kelley (Neale's tech) and Stan LaMendola (Lindsey Buckingham's tech) had a chance to play each of the guitars.

The two standouts were Neale's "Monk" Chopper and the new tweedback Radio Lane Singlecut, although Roy repeatedly threatened to steal the Tour Guitar! Neale is playing two Schroeders in the set; his Curly Redwood topped Chopper with Brazilian rosewood neck and the new tobacco 'Ridge-burst' Radio Lane singlecut. Jason thought the band sounded incredible and it was great to hear Neale let loose a bit while trying each of the guitars. As is so common, he has amazing chops but is more reserved when he plays with Fleetwood Mac. He and Lindsey Buckingham work their guitar parts extremely well together. The highlight for Jason was hearing 'Oh Well' with Lindsey and Neale harmonizing leads. When Jason left Wednesday, Neale was playing the Chopper on 'Don't Stop' and the Radio Lane on 'Oh Well'. We are so proud to welcome Neale to the Schroeder Family.

Neale calls the Monk the "Alpha in the pack" of his guitars that he describes as having a "Royal Pedigree vibe that exudes class."

Neale says of the Singlecut that when he straps it on "it's a feeling of no matter what I do now this is going to be good." Glad it went to a happy home!
