Here are some updated pics of Hiroki's DC. He has also upgraded to a Brazilian Rosewood neck on this guitar (a good move considering it is getting harder and harder to get!!).

Also, not sure if it is noticeable but Hiroki also requested that I make the body slightly smaller, which we accomodated. Another benefit of going with a handmade guitar!! Easy to bring in the perimeter of the guitar!

Here is the latest on Hiroki's neck. Hiroki made a switch from a limba neck to a Brazilian neck a few weeks back. So here it is. The limba neck will not go to waste! It will be used on his second guitar!

Here you go. Ears are gluing on the headstock. Beautiful swirly Braz board with stainless frets and S inlays.

Here is the stain getting sanded back. I have a bunch of pics of the process but I thought this was a cool vantage point. The finish is going to be a double stained deep green.

Here is the seal coat going over the completed stain... The vinyl sealer does weird things to the appearance. It absorbs a lot of light, similar to satin finish. The actual color is very close to the top of this picture, near the controls. I will take some outside photos when the nitro goes on.

Well, not the first that I have made personally but it is the first green one since we were an official business! I made a green flamed doublecut with a radiused top (like a Brian Moore) in the mid-1990s. I used basswood for the body and I was not happy witht the tone. I think I still have the body floating around somewhere!

Hey Tyler,
That is black limba. The lighter portion of the back is where the sapwood meets the heartwood of the tree. Really pretty stuff and it sounds incredible too.
