the design is a double cut with a special top contour. Jason can explain more about it as this progresses.

i'm undecided about pickups but, this MAY have pickup covers and a headstock veneer of the same redwood. :)

I personally have no experience with Redwood. Not sure if you saw Jasons' short-horn he's making in the "news". He put a korina neck\braz board on that one.

You can't go wrong with limba or mahogany!! The redwood tends to bring a slightly mellow attack than a maple top and will have slightly more scooped mids than an all mahogany guitar. I will be in touch with you Dave and we can go over your preferences for tone too.

That's a great looking piece of redwood. I like that figuring way more than flamed redwood.
