Here is the first pic of Tommy's top that I sent him... We made a last minute switch on his top that just fit perfectly with the theme of his guitar. A nice old piece of Eastern maple.

And here it is as of today... Binding channel routed, face angle cut, pickup cavities and neck cavity routed. Ready for a carve. Love those mineral streaks! And just watch the flame pop after it is carved and sanded!!

I loooove the thick mahog on that 59 Chopper. My Schroeder #4 has a real thick back. Love it. Of course would love to have your chopper too if I have any non Schroeder guitars you would trade for :)

something along those lines...maybe the schroeder will be a little more aged like an older brother or something ?

It is on a truck or a plane as we speak...
This is going to really be a workhorse guitar. Tommy promised to beat the hell out of it over the next few months on tour with Blondie!! LOL. Really proud of you Tommy. Should be a fantastic time playing for some big crowds in Europe! The tour starts in the UK on June 9. http://www.blondie.net/event/ After a few weeks in Europe, Blondie will be doing several weeks of shows in the US. I am hoping to catch them at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA on August 10. This is a beautiful amphitheater and is the place where I met Lindsey Buckingham and Neale Heywood for the first time. Also where I met Eric Johnson.

Arrived today ! I was walking out the door to head to Blondie rehearsal and fedex guy caught me literally in the elevator. Grabbed it and left. Played it about 7 hours today. Amazing in every way once again....no surprise of course and the neck is a joy to play. I'm already very comfortable playing this guitar because I had it based on my main LP that I've had for as long as I've played guitar almost, even down to the same year/model PUPS that I found on ebay. This one will most likely get the most face time with Blondie and is def going to be the only one played with them for the next 3 weeks of rehearsals. until I get to the UK where my other guitars already are.
