Hello everyone. This is my first post here.

I know this is a "Guitars In Progress" section, but I wanted to share some photos of the first lefty Chopper that Jason finished for me this week. It's RTS #0010, left handed, charcaol grey, flame maple top, mahogany body, Indian Rosewood neck, Ebony fretboard, Ebony knobs, Ebony backplates, Flame maple pickup rings, Seymour Duncan JB & 59 pickups, 3 way toggle, coil tap switch, Tone Pros wraparound bridge, Schaller tuners and straplocks, and .010" D'Addarios. Wow ! ...That's a lot of stuff !

I just got the guitar last night. I happen to live in Jason's hometown so I was lucky enough to have it hand carried to me in San Jose by Jason. Last night, I rocked it for the first time though the gainy channels of an Aiken Sabre and a Valvetech VAC 25 and D13 2x12 cab with a Celstion Gold and a Scumback HP75. Killer, thick and ballsy tones that would make any rocker smile. This Chopper is a straight up no BS rock tone machine ! But also, I dialed in a clean tone with a little reverb and flipped the coil tap and got some nice jazzy tones. The Duncans seem well suited for this guitar.

This guitar is truly an experiment for me since I am a Strat player used to single coils, bolt on necks and trems. I am just getting my feet wet with the guitar and how it sounds and feels. I love the ergonomics of the Chopper and it looks fantastic...the contrast of the charcoal color with the ebony appointments and satin nickel pickup covers is perfect. My input into this guitar was really quite minimal as this guitar was mainly all Jason's vision (wood combo, color, etc) and was one of his RTS line of his guitars....I just asked for some of the the extra wood appointments, and the "satinized" pickup covers....oh, and of course, the "lefty" thing. It's a killer combination of rich tonewoods and visual elegance. Check out the pictures below and you will see the beauty, stellar design and talent behind and within this guitar. I shot some photos in my front yard and in a room that I am remodeling at home (hence the "rustic" look)

Jason, sincerely, thanks very much for everything you have put into this creation, it's been a real pleasure to have you produce this fine work of art for me.

Cheers
-Dave
