You didnt sound excited on the phone hte first time we talked, then throughout the day you started jonesing a bit more each time we chatted......now after an 18 hour soak and some others have actually seen it, it finally sounds like you are sporting the full on NEW Schroeder Custom Guitar Owner CHUBBY!! LOLOLOL Just wait man....its gonna be just like I said, every time you open that case you are gonna look at it, grab it, play it and sit back and say..."Holy Crap, do I really own this guitar!!"

Look into the LesPaul type Ameritage case too dude...I saw one at my favorite guitar shop when another small builder guitar came through there....REALLY nice!! IT was so compact it was almost like a gig bag but build like a 2 story brick sh*thouse

Looks like anodized gold to me... Unless Jason started using another material I believe they are all aluminum. The only way to get that matte finish on aluminum that I know of is to anodize...

I'll start out this review by saying Francric is one LUCKY man. This is one of the best guitars I've EVER held in my hands. I'm 57 years old and I own over 30 guitars, to say I've played a lot of guitars would be a huge understatement. Let me say this, I've never been a fan of singlecuts but I could live happily ever after with this guitar. The Brazilian Rosewood neck feels like it was made for my hands, usually I prefer thinner necks but my short hands just seem to settle into this neck perfectly. Now for the surprise of the century, the bridge pickup. All I can say is this, if I had my eyes closed and you told me you would give me a thousand dollars if I could tell you what kind of guitar you were playing my guess would be a rosewood neck telecaster. It totally blew me away, its twang city. This guitar could be a serious chicken pickers dream. You just dont expect that from a Les Paul copy. Franc told me he had been hearing the twang but he didnt realise it until he heard me play it. I've never heard any Les Paul type guitar sound that close to a tele especially one with humbuckers. The middle pickup position was about what I expected it would be. Sounds a little brighter than the mid position on a Les Paul. About the only other thing I know to say about it is it just sounds good. Now for the 2nd surprise of the century, the neck pickup. Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Dickie Betts fan. I flipped the Schroder to the neck pickup and I thought I had Dickies old 335 in my hands. It was so close it gave me cold chills. I thought the neck pickup on my PRS Hollowbody was my favorite ever but this one beats it. I've listened to hundreds and hundreds of neck pickups, this one is my all time favorite and I'm not saying this because Franc is my friend. Screw Him! I want his guitar LOL. I thought I had my guitar collection just like I wanted it, they all sound different and great in their own way. If I could still play like I use to and I could get one like Franc's with a Brazilian neck I would lay out the bucks and wait. Thats how good this guitar is. The only thing that really makes me lust after a guitar anymore is the sound and this baby has it. I know PRS makes beautiful guitars every day but the Schroder will knock your eyes out. This baby has the sound this ol man loves. I play country and classic rock and this guitar will do em both perfectly.

I have not played this guitar, but knowing Jason's work like I do, I can hear it in my head. BTW, I don't think these thoughts could have been put in better words than Mike just did!
