Guys!!

I'd booked a slot and would like to get some feedback/tips on specs from u Schroeder fans here!

1) Korina neck vs. Honduran hog neck vs. Brazilian vs. IRW necks, what are the main tonal differences?

2) Korina body vs Honduran hog body tonal differences?

3) Any negative feedbacks on the Duncan P-rails? What are your favourite pickups? I want a versatile guitar that can give me chimey cleans and nice driven gain tones. I play mainly church music so metal tones not necessary :)

4) I dig the PRS Wide-fat neck but would like to find out if any of u guys have similar speced necks but albeit modified versions (e.g. with slight V etc)? What radius do you have on your boards?

5) Help me make up my mind - Single S-hole Chopper or Edge?

Uber excited about my build and have to make up my mind for the specs! So much wants, so little $!!!

Tks guys!

Grats on the Custom!

1. Checkout the warmoth site they have pretty accurate descriptions regarding the sonci qualities of all these woods and that boils down to taste. For me it was about the feel and rosewood is just damn sexy. The indian RW neck on the tour guitar was smooth as silk and was effortless to play despite its carve being a bit much for my hands. I had to have a RW neck after playing it.

2. Hog for tradition 'gibson' sound, korina for more versatile.

3. They sound very impressive to me. I think they can do everything but that vintage PAF sound extremely well. If you want versatility, it is a viable option.

4. I really liked the wide fat neck i had on a PRS, but it just felt a little to big. But my 72 335 feels way to small. I vaguely spec'd a neck just narrower and shallower than the the wide fat. This is really the hardest part of a custom unless you have access to calipers and a guitar center where you can literally play 20-30 guitars consecutively for extended periods to determine what is right for you, or already have a guitar neck you love and can duplicate it.

5. Those are 2 pretty different styles. If you are after gibson sound, go mahogany body chopper. IF you want something more versatile, korina body edge would get the job done.

Those are my opinions, I am probably wrong on several points so take it with a grain of salt.
