A bit more progress on Lance's fingerboard...
Fingerboard ready for taper-

(Please note that the rough edges are due to paper from routing still on the fingerboard. This will be removed after the fingerboard is glued to the neck and radiused.)

I am excited about this one. This top does what the previous top did not in terms of stain and figure.
This was the first attempt that did not show the quilt well at all (Lance and I discussed reversing the fade direction since this one). But you can see that this top just didn't have the pop that we wanted for this finish. I think the new top is a MUCH better quilt for this type of finish. I appreciate Lance's understanding that we had to go backward to end up with this result!! Really happy with the new one.

Yeah, I have been wearing that ring almost everyday for about 8 years. I have felt incomplete for a couple weeks now. Thanks for sending it back.
WOOOOOOO!!!!! :)
And be careful about wearing rings in the shop!!!
Not really sure how it ended up in Seattle with you... I am a bit paranoid about scratching or dinging finished guitars, so I take off my rings before I pack guitars. I guess when I took it off, it jumped into your case! ;)
Thanks again!!

Got to FINALLY spend some real time with the guitar last night.
Man, it's off-the-charts awesome I gotta tell ya.
I really, REALLY dig the "Schroeder carve" neck. It's kind of LP-ish at the nut, but then gets a "faster feel" down at the 12th and above for solos.
My reviews are generally considered long-winded... so I'll keep it short.
It's definitely a looker, a player and one amazing piece of craftsmanship.
