Hi guys.. what do you guys think of this top for my purple mist trad SC? I told Jason exactly what i wanted in a top and this is what he found:

Nice choice Benster. It looks fantastic raw, I'm sure if Jason suggested it it will look insane when he finishes it the way you guys discussed.

that is going to look amazing...I was actually thinking of having mine done in purple before I settled on my color...can't wait to see it done !

This is the finish that i am thinking of.
It's a PS McCarty in Purple Mist. I nearly died when i first saw this photo.

wow...that is a wild color...very very nice choice...I'm still looking for my exact color :cry:

Tentative specs:
Traditional Single Cutaway shape
Quilt maple top
Black Limba body (SC thickness) and neck (fatter than widefat)
Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with custom flaming cross inlay
Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay
25 ' scale, either 10 or 12 inch radius.

Still deciding on either a PRS stoptail or a Graphtech GHOST piezo tuneomatic.

Working on it Ben!! I am a bit overwhelmed right now but your wood is patiently waiting for me!!! Hang in there buddy. You will find that guitars go through growth spurts during the build process, as opposed to gradually making progress. All of a sudden on week your top will be carved! Feel free to IM me tomorrow morning if you want to chat.
