Man.....my Schroeder Custom is coming out so amazing. I'm still on the fence on my neck specs. I have a few guitars with necks that I really like, so I'm not sure which one to base my SC neck from. Just curious what specs you guys are getting:
- 21,22, 24 fret?
- 24.75, 25, 25.5 scale?
- 9.5, 10, 12 radius?
- back carve?
Just curious.

I'm sort of in the same position Stu. I've pretty much nailed it down to 3 necks that I'm deciding between. I'm not sure about the number of frets either, but do seen to be "comforted" somehow by the symetrical aspect of 24 fret necks. As for scale, I've inquired of Jason about actually making it a little shorter scale , maybe 24-1/2 or even 24-1/4, but haven't heard from the master on that yet. I have pretty big mitts, but am more comfortable with a shorter scale & don't particularly care for a large profile either. We're a looong way from the neck on mine, so we have time.

I'm 22 frets, 10" radius and 24.75" scale. Regarding the fatness and depth of the neck itself I've asked Jason for something a little bigger than a PRS wide fat... I'm aiming for something between PRS WF and a mid-late 50s Gibson. I like bigger necks, something just a *little* smaller than the Gibson R8 is great for me.

I love the fact that Jason is willing to make any scale length, nut width, and neck thickness/carve you want.....Thanks Jason! :D
Here are the specs for my 7 string Chopper:
Scale length = 26.75"
Nut width = 2.0"
thickness = approx. 0.9"-1.0" (we are going to start with it a little on the thick side, and then we may adjust a little bit as necessary)
radius = 16"
It's going to be fun watching this first batch of necks come to life :)

Hey guys!
Got quite a bit done in the last few days. Cutting truss rod slots, gluing bodies, etc. I did not take as many photos as usual. I will get back in the swing. I have been a bit short handed so my priority was getting guitars built!! Also had some jigging "issues" with some of the one-off necks but things are coming together.
I need to get specs on scale lengths and fingerboard material for a few before I proceed. I will be e-mailing with questions if I don't hear from those who have not decided. If you have decided, please drop me a note or give me a call so I can get fingerboards slotted and glued.
Thanks!
Jason

Jason, I'm looking for a 24 fret neck but LP scale and like a 59 LP back and radius. Can this be done?

I just wanted to make sure that you were decided after discussing your first choice (which I won't divulge!).
