I want to remove the nitro finish from the maple fretboard of my CE24 without hurting the frets.

If any of you guys play a CE and dont like the sticky feeling of the nitro, take some 000 steel wool and rub the nitro down to the sanding sealer. The sanding sealer is so thin and smooth. My neck now feels awesome. It's very close to feeling to my RW neck on 001 as far as feeling the wood..

Will, did you use steel wool to remove the finish from the back of your neck??
If it's uneven on the back you'll just have to hit those spots seperatly.
Thats how it was for me. It took about 1/2 hour to get it nice and clean.
I'm still wondering the best way to get it off of the fretboard.

I didn't mean for it to come off!!! Just excessive playing. Also just putting those necks on stands with rubber will cause the nitro to dissappear!
