Yup! Three Mini-hums that I'm supplying. I've got a few, but I THINK I know which 3 I've decided on.

Hey Tony, what brand are they?

I have some vintage output Duncans, some Wilkensons & I THINK a Vintage Gibson & a Kent Armstrong. They are all vintage output(6-7.5K). I also think I have a pair of the newer "Hi-Output" Gibsons that I'm going to get rid of. I really have to check & see just what I DO have. I've accumulated a lot of stuff over the years, hehe!
I beliebe I have a Duncan, a K.A. & an old Gibson in my 3 PU 'Bird & will probably go with something about the same, at least to start with.

Hey Stu, I did not select p-ups yet, but thanks for the reminder! :)
With my Schroeder being a 7 string, my pickup options are limited, but I'm thinking Dimarzio or Wolfetone. What have you selected?

Not sure yet either Shad. If I don't go "boutique", I may go Seymoure's (59 & JB, not sure about the middle single yet). If I go boutique, I'm looking at Lindy Fralins.

Hi guys,
I am going with humbuckers for sure, But, not sure if I want to go vintage PAF or modern.
I have tried a bunch of SD, PRS, WCR.
Now, I am really thinking of Haussel pickup.
I read it somewhere that they are PAF on stereoid, and the coil split is the best, the voulme doesn't drop. I need further reserach!

Hey Woody.
I've been reading alot about Lindy Fralins. This is what they say they do to their humbuckers to get a good coil split "we wind the screw coil stronger than the slug coil. This makes the pickup sound a little more single coil, but the best reason to do this is for coil tapping. When tapped the stronger coil is active as opposed to half a pickup"
Pretty interesting.

I think I'm going to just go with Seymour Duncans for now since I know nothing about boutique pick-ups and honestly seem to do just find without them...I think after listening to all the samples on SD's website I'm going to go with SH-6 (Duncan Distortion) in the bridge and a SH-2 (Jazz) in the neck

Tommy
I'm also considering the old faithful combo of a SD JB in the bridge and 59 in the neck. If I go with the Frailins (have a feeling I will), we'll hook up so you can give them a test drive :)

i'm going with Anderson Minis...loved the M1's that were in my cobra and the M3's are hot tamales.

If you can, tell me a little about the Anderson Mini's. I'm intrigued my them, but prefer a lower output mini. how are they tone-wise, as compared to a vintage Firebird, for instance. If you don't want to post it you can email to avoid a derail. Thanks,
Tony

well, i'd hardly call anything that Anderson makes low output, but...
my previous experience with the Andy mini's was on a maple capped mahogany cobra (similar to what i'm having built by Jason). the pickups were wired as humbuckers with a mini toggle to split. in split mode, they were airy with a bit more growl than true singles but less than a P90. in humbucker mode, they were rich and smooth and really responded well to picking dynamics. they are powerful, though, so, they'll punch through the mix really well....the M2 is a little hotter, the M3 is a true bridge pickup. my config will be M1 M1 M3.
