Hi Jason

As and when you want to get to building the large bodied spruce top please give me a yell, that's my kinda guitar. Check this out:

That's my Heatley, should be getting her any day now. Large bodied and spruce topped semi-hollow baby! :D

Better still, how's about a large bodied, semi-hollow sruce topped 12 string? Yes please!

hmmm a double neck...would you be able to make it so you would send each guitar to a different amp/rig ?

Scott Heatley builds a monster guitar. I owned a Heatley Tradition and it was awesome. Nice guitar bro.

Jason, that large bodied spruce topped guitar is also very interesting to me. I have been looking for someone to build me a "Gretsch". Spruce top, Cadillac Green, with three Filtertrons and a chicken head 5 way sounds like something I would definitely be interested in.

how about building a jazzzzy jumbo hollowbody singlecutaway with a spruce top/killer maple back and sides? Inspired by you-know-who's Jumbo SC. ;)

specs? here's some for starters..
Braz board, mahogany neck, 25.5 inch scale, 2 S-holes, Lollar Imperials, Piezo bridge, carved Braz tailpiece, 3-3.5 inch thick body.. Vintage natural burst 8)

'Gretsch'? I hear you!

Hmm, a Gretsh-y guitar for me, would be something like this:

Large hollow SC with S holes
flamed maple body and neck.
25.5 inch scale 12 inch radius Braz board with checkered flag inlays
white MOP binding throughout
yep, 3 TV Jones Filtertron Classics, 5 way chickin' head switch
nickel Tonepros tunomatic bridge, Bigsby B6 tailpiece, Sperzel tuners, Delrin nut.
6120 ORANGE finish (YEAH baby!!!) 8)

Niall - that would be TOO cool man. The larger body would help balance some weight too for the extra long headstock. Oh, that gets me excited... I can just see the beautiful cream colored spruce top right now!! Man, that Heatley is gorgeous. Scott does nice work.

Tommy - That would be easy as ever to split the signal and run it to two amps. You could even do an open tuning on one and drone out a chord while you solo on the lead guitar!!! I have heard you get pretty crazy on stage!!

Ben & Rob - sounds cool man. It would basically design itself! I really want to do one that has 2 S-holes. I am a wannabe archtop builder!! My Dad has always wanted a Gretsch Country Gentleman. Maybe I could just build him a Schroeder that was inspired by the CG!
