Well guys, I have been out of commission for the last couple of days looking at real estate for a new shop and potentially a new site for a house. Sale is pending on a very unique property with a killer 30' by 40' shop!!! It is HUGE compared to my current shop and just perfect for what I need. Needless to say I am very excited. The move may put me abehind a bit on production but long term it is a necessity.

By the way, does anyone need a vintage coffee vending machine?! :) I will likely have a ton of them. They are everywhere on this property. Probably 12-15 in all. How about a desk? There are plenty of these too! Seems Fred Sanford used to live here!

I knew eventually you would grow out of the "kitchen"!

Best of luck on the pending estate and lets see some pics when you get it!

That's excellent news! I hope it works for you. How nice would it be to roll outa bed, put on a pot of coffee, and walk out to the shop to build killer guitars?

Best of luck in the transaction.

Ya, the sawdust does not do wonders to the Chicken Parmagiana!! And no kidding Don! When are you going to come out here and be in charge of the finish department!! :D

Here is the outside...

And here are two shots from inside, one looking left and one looking right just inside the roll up doors. Note all the junk that comes with it!! In the second pic, underneath the loft you can see two rooms with a 12 by 10 space in between. I am thinking spray booth in the left room. Maybe a setup area in the middle space and an office in the room on the right. The rest of it will be used for various tools and benches set up to accomplish specific tasks. I have also discussed the possibility of a co-op whereby I could share the space with other builders and woodworkers. This is actually a lot more shop than I need at the moment but dang it will be nice to have!! A co-op will also allow the use of additional tools and interaction with guys in the trade.

 Great news! Expansion already, huh? It's amazing how things work out... congratulations!
I know I'm not, but if I were you, I'd hold off on the co-op until you set-up shop. It can be mind boggling how fast space can fill up & you never know what the future holds. It's always preferrable to have a little extra space for things unplanned. After all, would you have expected to be where you are now, a year or two ago? I'm really happy for you & glad to see your hard work rewarded. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Now, as to my serial#, hehe! Just kidding.........What the hell!, take the night off. If anybody gives you a hard time, just tell 'em I said it was OK!
Again, Congratulations!!!
Tony

Hey Jason, soon there will be enough room for you to build my 7-string acoustic :D

That's great that you are looking for a new workshop. I guess now we will have to debate the "kitchen-era" Schroeder's vs "new shop-era" Schroeder's ;)

WOO HOO!!!

Jason just got word that the offer went through on the property! We are very excited.  8) :P

Unfortunately, he is SO SICK right now... (and trying to rest a little) so we'll celebrate later! :)

He is trying to plan the next few weeks so that when we are able to move equiptment into the new space, he will be ready. He is absolutely thrilled that he will now have a place that is totally dedicated to guitars!!

I'm sure he will fill you in more after he is among the living...

Congratulations Lord & Lady! Just see that he allows himself to get well! I'm really happy for you two! It couldn't happen to nicer people. I can only hope that my "search & sell" in about 6 months goes half as smoothly. It really DOES work out if you let it!

Congrats to the entire JZS family, that is great news. Although I was looking forward to some extra kitchen seasoning on my neck....I'm sure there will be plenty of mojo in the new place :)
