I thought you guys might want to see some progress pics of my future home that we are restoring so I can move!! Here is proof that things have to get worse before they get better... :)

Front (Before)

Front (Now) See that shop in the background on the left!!

Living Room (Before)

Living Room (Now) All new electrical and it actually has insulation now!! The smell of cat pee is gone too! Ready for drywall.

Kitchen (Before) Ceilings were very low and sagging.

Kitchen (now) Ceilings are about 8" higher now and straight as an arrow. There were three layers of roofing on top of the ceiling causing it to sag. The beams you can see are actually fairly new and were riding over the former roof!! Ready for insulation and drywall.

It doesn't look like much but we have filled two 20 yard dumsters so far just form the little house!! That is the old walls, ceilings, etc. Lots of work. I have pulled hundreds (if not thousands of nails from these beams and rafters too.) More to come...

I assume you will be ptting a kitchen in the new workshop so our guitars will feel at home ;)

Just like everyone else, I can't wait to see inside pics of the shop :)

Here are a couple more shots of the house as it looks today...

This is the kitchen area again with the knotty pine ceiling installed. I took the 3/4" paneling off of the walls (as seen in the previous photos of the living room above) and I ripped them down and used them as ceiling material. it looks very cool and was already finished. I think this actually will save us time because we don't have to tape, mud and texture this ceiling now. I was really tempted to throw in accents of flamed and quilted maple but thought that might be a waste of good wood!! You can see the door is framed also for my son's room which is in the background of the picture.

Here is the living room with drywall in place. You can see the hardwood floors desparately need to be refinished.

Here is a pic of the bathrooms and new tub/shower. Hard to make out what everything is but it is ready for fixtures and drywall. No more running out to the shop to use the restroom.

Man, Home Depot is killing me! I spend SO much money there. But things are coming together very well. I am very excited to live in this place. It should be like a new house when it is done!

I just saw this thread.

I don't think this accurately shows how much has been done-
Jason, you should post the during demo pics. There were literally 5 1/2 foot tall piles of trash in every room. It was nuts.

I can't wait to help decorate! (Please, Jason?) 8)

Hey Jason, you can go into real estate and rehab houses on the side when you're not building guitars ;)
