Hey Guys!
Well we had a pretty scary and exciting weekend in Northern California. Floods everywhere in Redding, including the property that the new shop is on! Fortunately, the garage was the only structure that had standing water inside. I had about 5" in the crawl space of the main house though and it was a lake all around it. The shop was fine. A neighbor two doors down had a few inches inside the house and the rental unit on the corner of the new property was literally within a half inch of water getting inside. I was standing in about 6 inches of water bailing water over the sandbag wall I had created to preven water from getting in the front door. I bought a sump pump that got the standing water into a nearby ditch and away from the house. This was Friday night and by Saturday things were much more calm. Everything seems to be back to normal and we worked all weekend getting drywall up in the house. It is about 30% done but we are making great progress.
I moved the first shop tools tonight which was a moral victory for me. Moved the stereo in too! I have to get some help with the larger tools but the work bench is carpeted and I have one more bench to make. Then the rest is plugging in the tools and getting back to work. The house will come together fairly easily now from all I can tell. I will post pics when I can. I forgot the digital camera tonight.
I hope all of you had a fantastic New Year's!
