Here are the first pics of the shop with tools. I will likely be rearranging as I go. I still have not cut any wood yet but i am officially ready to!!! :D

This the main woodworking area. You can see the carpet covered bench in the rear left of the alcove and the narrow bench on the right. The bench in the foreground will be used for the planer and joiner. All three of these benches were scavenged from the property in various sheds!! It made life a lot easier to not have to build new benches. These will do for now and are built very well so I will probably use them for a long time. I have a "clean" bench for setup work and inlay in the room to the right of the alcove. That also has my desk where I will eventually have internet service so I can snap progress pics and immediately post them online. The room to the left will be for wood storage. You can see the loft above which will be used to store cases, parts, and shipping supplies. The buffing wheel is to the left of alcove with plastic bags over the buffs to keep them clean.

Here is the view to the right where the main entrance is. You can see the table saw to the back on the right. I just ripped down about 500 lineal feet of knotty pine for the ceiling in two rooms of the house. That is what the stacks are on the floor.

Here is one last shot of the shop from the loft. You can see that there is still a fair bit of stuff to remove. You can see my 67 Volkswagen bus hiding behind 6 vending machines!! Those should be gone within a week or so. The bathroom is to the right of the bus in the back corner.

More pics to come of the spray booth, office and wood storage room once I get the lumber moved over.

Cheers guys.

Nice looking shop Jason! Looks like you've been working like a dog! Congrats on pulling all of this off especially during the holidays. I hope you can now enjoy setting up the shop just the way you want it! Love the bus, too. :D

Well, vending machines are gone now, so the shop looks even more roomy!

Jason is so excited to get started on your guitars again...
I am afraid he won't finish the house and he will be content to live in the shop so he can build sooner! Uh oh. :( :x

Here are pics from last night. Mitchell is working on his apprentice guitar!! He is building a doublecut with quilted top and back and solid mahogany center. IRW neck. Note Will's SC on the bench behind Mitchell.

Poor Mitchell with the joiner on the floor because Elizabeth and I were using the other benches to strip old doors of about 5 layers of really ugly paint! This is the 1/4" back of the guitar taken from the same piece as the top.

Top gluing up.

A side note:
If I never have to breathe or inhale that stripping goo again that will be fine with me.
It was SOOOOO nice to smell the wood Mitchell was cutting! Smelled like roses. :D

Oh, and that is quite the lovely pic, Schroeder. Thanks.

Getting a bit more organized and I built a 4' x 8' bench. I used 4x4 redwood posts from a fence we ripped out. Perfect legs for the bench.

I think you might want to clean the lense on your camera Jason 8)

I think that is a reflection of the cobwebs and dust in the rafters!! :)
