Hey Guys!
The VIP Tour has begun! The Tour Guitar is en route to Bryan for a reunion with Tahoe Blue! And it will be off to the east coast. Priority for the first leg of the Tour will be for the guys that have deposits in (thus VIP). Unfortunately we have some guys outside the US who may not get to see the Tour guitar, but the majority of you will if you have placed an order. So please let me know if you are interested and we will start organizing the tour. The guitar will be sent from Bryan to Stu when Bryan is done working it over. I figure there are so many of you on the east coast that this would be most logical. After it has made its way around the east coast it will start its way back toward California. Tommy has expressed interest in taking it out on the road for a bit too.
Again, PLEASE email me if you want in. I think with a group like this it will be relatively easy to work out the details of the Tour. But please contact me so we can get a list going and start working on logistics.
I strongly encourage feedback, good and bad. And also, this will be an excellent reference point for your guitar so tell if the neck is too fat, it weighs too much, etc. I also encourage you to play the guitar through your rig, play it at gigs, take photos with it, record it, and post pics/clips online.
There are also keychains and a few "pre-production" V-Picks, made by Vinnie Smith of BAM. Try them, they are killer! I understand he has recently gone into production and wish him the best of luck.
Any questions? Feel free to email or call me!
Talk soon.

Well the Tour Guitar has arrived!!
She's a beauty..
At first glance the neck is wider than my guitar but the carve seems about the same.
It wieghs a few ounces more than my 001 also.
I'll post some photos and clips in a few days I'm off to spend sometime with it so I'll post agin later.

Sweet!!
Bryan, what are your initial impressions of the two RW neck varieties? Oh yeah...congrats on both the first stop of the tour, and Schroeder 001 :D
It will certainly be fun to watch and listen as the tour guitar makes it's rounds.
Jason....hats off to you, man. It takes a lot of trust to send that baby all over the place. I can't wait to play it :)

Shad, I believe the neck is IRW as is mine but maybe Jason can clarify that for us. Overall the Tour guitars neck has the factory smooth buff to it. Mine had it when it was new, but after a few 1000 hours on mine the necks a little bit more worn in.
The tour guitar plays very smooth and has a nice chimey sound and is pretty loud unplugged. It also has has an ebony FB that I think brings out some of the chime.
Right now it has WRC Shredder pups in it. Earlier today I was getting some really nice buttery blues tones from the neck pup. I also had a really amazing clean chord sound going with it also. Like my guitar, its on the bright side say compared to a Les Paul but not shrill like a Tele can get.
I'm going to be installing a set of Goodwoods in her in a day or so. It'll be cool to see how they change the guitars tone. The Goodwoods will be the pups that stay in the guitar for the tour.
Overall I really like the guitar. It's going to be hard to ship her off to Stu next week. The 2 look so good together..

Hey Jason, the placement of the bridge looks way different on the two guitars? is that so, and why? or is it where it bridge pickup placement different?

Good eye, Will! The Tour guitar is 22 frets, Bryan's is 24. So Bryan's bridge is set closer to the neck joint.

By the way, after this leg of the tour is completed I plan on continuing the tour to those who have expressed interest previously so please contact me to get onthe list for the second leg of the tour!!! That is, if all goes well on the first leg of the tour!
Also, I have to reiterate a sincere apology to those of you outside north America who will not receive the Tour guitar (Niall, Ben, and Chun in particular).

Wow, the tour has begun! :D It'll be really interesting to hear the reports from each stop. No worries about the non-US aspect of the tour, no problem at all as far as I'm concerned. It's a logistical feat in itself that it'll be putting a few thousand miles in over there, so good on you all!
Happy playing guys!

No map yet! I started one but had scale issues because it is going to bang around quite a it in the northeast. I will try to do one as we go. Bryan should have it shipping off to the east coast this week!
