Here's a quick set of samples from the
tour guitar.
What you will hear is a chord progression played clean, dirty and high gain.
Then you will then hear a blues lick played both clean and dirty.
On each section I play the progression or lick 3 times. The 1st is bridge position, then middle and neck.
I used Native Instruments Guitar Rig to record this. I used a Fender Twin model for clean tones and a Mesa Rectifier model for the dirty sounds.
These sample are with WRC Goodwoods installed.

Thanks for posting Bryan! Very cool how you did the three samples for each to show the pcik-ups in action. I dug the blues lick.

I'm sure you played with the Tour gutiar a bit. What's your impression vs. your 001?

Bryan,
Thanks so much for posting these clips! Could you tell us more about the Native Instruments guitar rig?

Stu, the tour guitar has a very similar feel to my guitar. Though the tour guitar has a chunkier neck, both in profile and width. The unplugged sound is very much the same also with the tour guitar being slightly louder than mine. The ebony fingerboard is a really nice touch. Thats the one thing the tour guitar has that I wish I ordered.

The plugged in sound of the tour guitar is little more vintage than mine due to the Goodwoods. When it had shredders in it, it had a more modern sound than mine.
Overall it's a very nice guitar and wouldn't mind owning it someday.. :D

I was kinda worried that after playing the guitar all week that I wouldnt like my 001 quite so much but that just didnt happen. Not because the tour guitar is not good, becuase I think it's excellent and can see where Jason has been refining his technique..
But Jason really nailed what I was looking for in the sound and feel for my 001. Whenever I pick it up it feels like home. :D

Overall I think you guys are gonna dig the tour guitar. With the goodwoods in it, it's a classic rock - blues monster.

Jason, NI Guitar Rig is a software package with amp and effects models. It can be used as a pluggin or a standalone modeler. It comes with a foot controller so you can change patches and play wah wah and such.
You can get more info on it here.
