Hello all...I now have the tour guitar in my possession! Last night I was able to meet up with Tommy and get this baby in my grubby little hands.
It was nice meeting you in person Tommy, I hope the rest of your trip goes smooth :)
My initial impression of the tour guitar is that the review that Stu wrote is right on. It is a fantastic guitar. So at the risk of repeating what Stu and the others have stated already, I will list some notable features.
The case is too cool, it really does look like a piece of luggage. There is plenty of room inside for just about anything you could need. BTW- Stu, I like the info sheet that you put together.
The curves of this guitar are very striking. It is something that is much more noticeable in person than in the pics.
Fit, finish and feel are exactly what you would expect from a guitar of this caliber. All the lines are very accurateÖit is hard to believe this guitar came from a hammer and chisel!
I have been getting the old stink eye from the misses for fussing about with this and a couple of other new guitar additions, so I need to keep the playing to a minimum until she falls asleep. I will report back tomorrow with some pics and playing impressions.
Thanks again to Jason for creating such a cool guitar and sending it around the country :)

I would like to publicly thank Shad. I have a gig this weekend and really wanted to give the guitar a whirl in a live setting. Shad is being very cool and is allowing me to take possession of the guitar to put it through its paces. I can't thank you enough bro...
I will make sure to take some action pics....I might even hook up my Boss BR900CD and get some live sound. I will be using the Schroeder and my Fargen Bordeaux for about 90% of the night. The other 10% will be my Huber Redwood Dolphin.

No problem Rob...I'm glad we were in contact, and could make this work out.
BTW- The earlier the better tonight, so if you can leave a few minutes early, just let me know.
thanks

Sorry, I'm a little slow with my tour guitar pics, but it was a dark, rainy day, and I couldn't get any decent shots. By now, we have plenty of pics of the tour guitar by herself, so I thought it would be nice to see the guitar with some of my family, so I got a few of the girls out for a group shot. I know these pics are REALLY weak
These were the best I could do in crappy lighting conditions:

Shad,
Thanks so much for running the guitar around PA for me!! Tommy and Rob too of course. I am sorry you couldn't have more time with it. I am really glad that you feel more anxious to get your guitar done! I can't wait to complete it! Like I told you on the phone, I moved the bodies over to the new place over the weekend yours was on the top. Gorgeous chunks of wood!
Rob, have fun with it. Please email me or call when you have a chance to play it a bit.

*HUGE* thanks to Shad for making this happen for me. It was a pleasure to meet you in person bro.
Shad is one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met. The dude was amazingly gracious and was a pleasure to meet. His Soloway is an amazing guitar and I wish I could have spent more time with it.
I offered to send this back to Shad after this weekend so he could get more time with the guitar, but he felt that he had sufficient time. The guitar he has on order is so drastically different from this guitar, that all he really wanted from the tour guitar was to see the fit and finish and get a general feel for the instrument. He felt he accomplished that in the short amount of time he had it. Shad...say the word and I would be happy to send this back to you right after the gig.
Jason....I shot you an e-mail. Give me a call tonight.
