The guitar is amazingly well made. All of the lines are very clean and the fretwork is superb. There are some very small rough areas around the neck pocket, but nothing to fret about and nothing I havenít seen on every other guitar maker except Nik Huber. It shocks me that this guitar was made entirely by hand...kudos Jason.

Jason has some very cool ideas when it comes to neck woods. The ebony on rosewood neck isnít something I have ever seen before. I was thinking that it would be obnoxiously brightÖI was dead wrong. At rehearsal last night this thing was a monster, it snarled and growled with the best of them and the guitar absolutely sang on single note lines. There was no harshness or brittleness to the tone that I was expecting because of the neck. I was shocked. The neck pup was amazing, fat and sweet with the absolute perfect amount of bite and clarity. The bridge pup was hot, but very tasteful. It had some great spank but as I have already stated, it never got harsh or brittle. I absolutely loved the tone this thing was spitting out. I have completely rethought my stance on rosewood necks because of this guitar.

The neck has the typical PRS wide spacing with a fatter back that I really enjoyed. I normally hate rosewood necks because they tend to make the guitar neck heavy. The Schroeder balanced perfectly, the neck never took a dive and the weight was never an issue. It isnít a featherweight, but it is far from a heavy guitar.

The bottom line is thisÖ.

I have owned most of the big boys. Heatley, Mcnaught, Mcinturff, Huber, Hamer USA, Baker, etcÖ. The Schroeder is right up there with them, at a price that is very appealing. I would still give the nod to Huber when it comes to fit and finish, but the difference is miniscule and Jasonís guitars are made by hand, and much less expensive. Anyone who has ever played a Huber knows how much of a compliment this is. I only have two very minor issues with the guitar.

1. The inlay work had a small amount of filler. Not even close to being sloppy or something that would concern me in the least, but its there. To be fair, this should be expected from inalys done by hand.

2. I would like to see him use different hardware. The wraparound he is using just screams PRS to me. I feel that he has enough of his own thing going and should try to stay clear from this. When I questioned Jason about this he was very straight with me. He told me that he agreed with me, but that bridge was the best sounding to his ears. He tried the Tonepros bridge and didnít care for it. He saw my point and agreed, but said this sounded better. After last night, I would whole-heartedly agree.

Overall, the guitar is a home run. So much so, that I will be calling Jason this week to get his opinion on a rosewood neck with snakewood board for my guitar. LOL!!

Great job Jason, this guitar smokes!!!

OK...someone fess up...who was the retard that put the neck pickup ring on backwards. ROTFLMAO!!!   :D :P
