We have actually both sent you emails Roberto! I am not sure what is going on there. I affirmed that we have your top orientation sorted out and that we will minimize the impact of the large flame at the butt of the guitar. Nothing was wire-transfered to our bank but the paypal deposit was received.
Your top is center joined and your back is planed to thickness. Next steps will be routing the cavity for the tone chamber, gluing the top to the back.

Redwood is an awesome tonewood that sounds very much like spruce to my ears. Good call on the chamber, it really makes the redwood come alive. I have a redwood Huber and it is a massive sounding guitar. This one should smoke.

The guitar is almost ready:Jason will send me some pics today, and he told me yesterday that will try to finish it and ship it on Monday 14th May.
As I will have the pics,I'll post them unless Jason will directly post them.
I'm getting really excited about this guitar and Jason is too:he told me that the guitar is really beautiful and he can't wait to hear the Redwood.
Also Jason told me that the guitar is fairly light:he told 7.5 pounds. That's due to the chambered body and the light-weight mahogany body and neck that Jason has used.
He told me that also my Redwood top is pretty light compared to other pieces that he has.

Yes Shad,so close yet so far...
I've always liked natural colors, but I really think that on the Redwood it really shows how amazing the wood is,more than on a maple top on which I prefer a vintage natural with a lightly stain, like on Mike guitar.

I loved the cleaver on JohnnyBoy's and this one is awesome too! I am a little offended that Jason did it while I was gone- I think he wanted to steal my thunder!!! We aren't speaking right now. Just kidding.
I love doing the inlay, but I know that when Jason is inspired to inlay Italy, he isn't going to have the patience to wait for me to come home!! :D

wow that's amazing how quick they get it out there. I'm used to ground shipping :)
Yes it's very expensive(we are talking about 300 and more $),but you get it in less than 2 days!In fact it was shipped yesterday around midnight, italian time, and would be delivered within the 10.30a.m(italian time) of tomorrow.
I prefer UPS over Fedex for my international shippings. The worst experience of my life was the last summer when I got my McNaught from Johnson(yes the World is really small,he is the same Johnson who has the Singlecut on order from Jason) and had it shipped with the Canadian post. The problem is that Italian posts doesn't work:so it took more than a month to have it worked by the Italian Custom and then delivered to me.
Hope that there will not be any problem at the Custom tomorrow here in Italy...

As I've said the shipping costs are pretty expensive, but at least you get a service that it's really good!So I don't care too much for their costs...
How is the weather like in Redding,Jason?
Because here in Milano is like summer: we have 35 C°(which are 95 Fahrenheit) with an umidity around 70%!!
Hope that there isn't too much difference in order to not have to screw up the work that James Russell has done!

Getting closer!! Weather here is 86F and 15% humidity. Pretty dry here. Do you have a plan for letting the guitar acclimate to the humidity after it arrives? I know when I shipped a guitar to Stu (might have been the Tour Guitar) he let it sit in the room in its case for a few hours, then he cracked the case a bit, then took it out hours later!! That would be torture for me!!

First of all let me thanks Jason.Elizabeth,James Russell,Dan and Mitch!
First impressions:the guitar sounds really really sweet. That's exactly what I was looking for!The Goodwood sound soo good in this guitar!
I can only say that Jason is in the same level of other small builders that I know(see my signature).

LOL, I dont think any words in a review could say more than the look on your face says on your first impressions of the guitar.
Congrats man, and well done to Jason and the gang!

Enjoy your new guitar Roberto!! So glad it made it ok. Please let me know if everything is ok with the guitar. I wish I had it a bit longer so I could make sure it was as good as it could possibly be! But I really hope you like it!

Congrats on the new redwood double cut Roberto. That`s a beautiful guitar and truely unique. Flamed redwood is not something you see every day. I know you are excited having it because I caught myself smiling just looking at your pics.
