I'm curious to know how either wood will sound as a fretboard on a brazilian rosewood neck. Listening to the clips from the 2 doublecuts (can't rmb which) in the Guitar in Progress page it seems that the one with ebony is more punchy with faster attack while the one with rosewood is more mellow and blooms slower? This may be due to different amps and pickups used though.. I love the punchiness of the ebony under gain and the mellow tone of rosewood while playing clean. Is this possible or do I have to sacrifice one for the other.

Haha I am spec-ing out my dream schroeder dc in my head already :p
